To borrow the vocabulary of one of my teens, one of the most awesome things about being a Kinesiologist is that I am constantly learning through the experiences of my clients. It is humbling to be the person they choose to reveal their thoughts to. I am grateful for their trust and will never take it for granted.
Over the last 10 years of being a Holistic Kinesiologist I have seen a vast array of people from different walks of life with differing histories, values, beliefs and circumstances. The one overwhelming realisation I have from listening to all their stories is that we are all the same. We all want the same things:
To love and be loved
To be valued
To feel accepted
To be free
To feel connected
To be heard
To feel safe
To feel joy, peace, calm
To be true to ourselves
To know and live our purpose
And the root negative emotion that holds people back from fulfilling these needs? Fear.
Fear that we are not enough
good looking enough
and that list goes on and on…
On a universal scale I really believe that we are all one and if there is a lesson to be learnt here it is to remember that everyone we meet (even those we don’t necessarily like and whose values might be opposed to ours) basically wants the same thing as us. They may show up differently but I can guarantee you that underneath their layers they are more or less the same as us.
In terms of a Kinesiology session, fear shows up predominantly in the Kidney meridian and the Base chakra. Sometimes the fear may be subconscious and that is where Kinesiology is wonderful as we will be able to work out where the fear is coming from. When a meridian, acupoint or chakra is out of balance we cannot function optimally and if we leave them unbalanced for an extended period of time we become physically sick.
To put this all in a nutshell I would encourage you to consistently work on those things that frighten you so that they can move through that fear to another level. I leave you with one of my favourite quotes on fear;
Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
